Pismo Beach Clam Festival
A community tradition since 1946, the annual Pismo Beach Clam Festival attracts generations of families and visitors from all around, who look forward to spending three days overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Pismo Beach. This year, the festival will take place the weekend of October 18-20.
The Clam Festival is a free event that includes live music, local vendors and food trucks, and a huge FREE Kids Zone that includes bounce houses and inflatables! Both mornings, AmpSurf will be hosting their Operation Restoration Learn to Surf Clinic.
Saturday’s best local clam chowder cook-off contest is a crowd favorite where local Pismo Beach restaurants compete for the title of Best Local Clam Chowder Winner. Pick your favorite and be the judge for the People’s Choice winner. Tickets will be on sale early for local residents—look for a code in your water bill.
Pismo Beach Summer Markets
The Pismo Chamber of Commerce’s weekly Pismo Summer Market takes place on the Pismo Plaza each Wednesday from 4–7 PM. Meet local vendors while enjoying the scenic views of Pismo Beach and live music. There is something for the whole family. Visit food vendors, purchase baked goods, and explore art and craft items. Stop by each week to see the new offerings and special treats. The market will run through September 4, 2024
