The Clam Festival is back for its 79th year. With the Pismo Clam abundant (anyone who has walked the beach in the last few weeks can attest…), there’s no better time to celebrate this iconic species.
The parade begins at 10:00 AM on Saturday, uniting the community through music and community joy. The Clam Chowder Cook-Off will take place on Saturday at 1:00 PM. There are only a few tickets remaining, and it’s guaranteed to sell out, so buy your tickets now.
Wine lovers or pirate fans can join the Friday night Clam Festival Wine Walk, as well. Dress up, sip some incredible local wines, and mingle with the community and chamber.
The famous and free KIDS ZONE will have inflatables and bounce houses, along with a coloring and craft Stewardship Station. Come join the fun for this lively weekend!

And a New Tradition Takes Form…
November 6th – 8th
Many have seen Avery’s (@mandala.sea) spectacular sand art covering the beaches of Pismo Beach. This year, the town is taking it to a new level. Pismo is bringing nine artists from around the world to showcase their sand art designs across the beach.
Join for three days of spectacular sunset sand art in November. Walk from the pier and along the boardwalk for the best views of this art form. No other place in the world hosts an event like this!
Pro Tip
This is the same weekend as Harvest on the Coast, so you can enjoy wine events during the day and sand art in the evening. It’ll be one of the best times to be here!

Harvest on the Coast is back in a new style. The weekend will have various events all over California’s Central Coast! Stay in Pismo Beach as your oceanfront home base, and you’ll be just minutes from the vineyards of the SLO Coast.
Cool-climate wines and stunning coastal views are the best combination for a late Fall getaway. Sip and swirl your way through boutique tasting rooms, rolling vineyard landscapes, and vibrant harvest celebrations, then return to the beach for sunset and the jaw-dropping art of the Sand Art Festival.
